dreams by anette skuggedal
……one says that photography
is painting with light…..painting a world where one meets, pain,
sorrows, happiness, adventures, laughter…it challenges, guides, evokes
beauty & memories…..in an ever changing world..
…….a photograph a self-portrait….a reflection of ones experiences….adventures…challenges….reflections on life’s many mysteries…
…….the blog is a mere reflection of my adventures…..

elsewhere by Øyvind Hjelmen
About the Photographer:
Øyvind Hjelmen has been working with photography as his artistic expression for more than 20 years, and his works have been exhibited in USA, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, Poland, Italy, Japan, France and Norway. Among the collections that hold his works are The Museum of Fine Art in Houston, USA, and Centro Internazionale di Fotografia Scavi Scaligeri - Verona, Italy.
Øyvind won the 2010 Gold award, in GULLSNITT, the largest photo competition in Norwegian.
About Elsewhere:
Elsewhere is a pastiche of moments, layered and counter balanced, from our shared contemporary existence. The images frame our modern sensibilities with a sense of almost recalled familiarity yet without specificity of time or space. Intimate, lyrical gelatine prints evoke timeless human dramas -- heart-stopping beauty, sadness shrouded in fog, warmth of a stranger's smile, loneliness of an unknown place ? welcoming viewers to their own sense of connectedness by these communal memories. An ongoing project, Elsewhere, has many chapters, plot lines, and unexpected narrative twists while moving the viewer forward
Workshop:
Øyvind is teaching a workshop for NORDphotography called "TALKING GREAT PICTURES", in OSlo 22-24 Oktober, you can read all about it on here: http://www.facebook.com/event. php?eid=111704008884329&index= 1 or on NORDphotography's webpage: http://www.nordphotography. com/workshop/22/TAKING-GREAT- PICTURES.aspx?i=0

SCAPES - Norwegian kids, teens & nature

About this work Anne Helene says: I especially love photographing the young because they are more honest being who they are in front of the camera: no fences, no pretensions and teaching us that it is enough to simply be who we are.
